Our Purpose

The world today is constantly showing us the limits of human suffering through war, famine, disease, and poverty- and can leave the average person feeling overwhelmed. Many are left paralyzed in the face of insurmountable adversity and the feeling that their actions will be insignificant. Those who do want to help often are at a loss for where to start- when I started volunteering I had to search for hours on Reddit and other forums to find opportunities near me. The barrier to entry just to help was exhausting, there was no central hub that could organize nearby events, no way to communicate with staff, and a feeling of being lost.


CommonGood is an app that hopes to solve this by making volunteer and outreach opportunities more accessible at the community-level. As the founder of CommonGood, I have always believed that a better tomorrow starts from the community- so that people can see and feel the effects of their work.


Our Unique Functions


CommonGood will be a platform that will allow local businesses, non-profits, and other organizations to post volunteer and outreach opportunities. Users can then search for opportunities that resonate with them. I would like to highlight some key features for both the users and organizations using our app.


User Features:

  • Hour verifications and badges earned after certain volunteer hour thresholds

  • Reviewing of volunteer opportunities

  • Personal profile creation- listing special skills, interests, and the ability to follow organizations/ causes

  • Personalized volunteer and outreach opportunities

  • Ability to update availability


Organization Features:

  • Verification process and badge to maintain a reputable position in community

  • Profile with mission statements and ability to post volunteer and outreach opportunities

  • Ability to review and flag volunteers

  • Analytics and dashboards for user engagement

  • Manage RSVP systems

  • Screen for skills


Our Business


CommonGood is an app that has multiple scalable revenue sources:


  1. Corporate Social Responsibility Partnerships: CommonGood can provide verified hours, custom analytics, reports on their employees’ impact to their community, and even create incentives for employees to continue volunteering. In exchange we would create pricing packages that would reflect the number of employees in the company. 

  2. Subscriptions: Organizations would be incentivized for a monthly/annual subscription service that allows them access to-

  • Unlimited posts

  • More in-depth analytics dashboards

  • A wider range of background checks for more sensitive volunteer work (i.e. childcare and elderly care)

  • Boosted posts for more engagement

  1. Brand Partnerships: Along with badges for hours volunteered thresholds and milestones, we can partner with brands that could give users discounts after a certain amount of hours worked. The brands get more traffic and we can get a portion of the total sales directed from our app.

CommonGood is seeking a $1,000,000 investment from AMDP for 1% equity to expand our computer engineering team as well as our marketing team to expand both our product’s capabilities and reach. We look to AMDP for an investment- not to line our pockets, but for the CommonGood.

Job Description-Final

  Concert Touring Four red bulls and two red eye connecting flights every other night for three weeks in a row. I've been to every major city in Asia, Europe, and North America- but all I can really remember is my baggage pick-up carousel.
